Penn Celebrates Dedication of Vagelos Laboratory

The University of Pennsylvania celebrated the dedication of the Vagelos Laboratory for Energy Science and Technology (VLEST), the new home for Penn’s study of energy science and a symbol of the university’s fight against climate change.

Roughly 200 people gathered at an illuminated nighttime ceremony to dedicate the 112,500-square-foot building designed by Behnisch Architekten. Meliora provided civil and site engineering, green infrastructure planning and design, and permitting and approvals on the project.
