Marc B. Henderson, PE
Project Manager/Senior Water Resources Engineer
Marc recently passed the 10-year mark at Meliora, where he applies civil engineering experience and his specialized educational background to a variety of project types, among them low impact development and green infrastructure stormwater design, stormwater retrofits, and water reuse systems. In addition to design, his work involves design reviews, permitting, and policy issues and regulations related to site development, stormwater, and erosion/sediment control measures. Marc especially enjoys the more technical aspects of projects, such as working through design details, investigating new approaches, and conducting targeted research.
His professional career began in the public sector as an engineer with the St. Johns River Water Management District in Mt. Dora, Florida, after earning a master’s degree in biological systems engineering from Virginia Tech in 2006, which was preceded by a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in agricultural and biological engineering. Marc is a Professional Engineer in seven states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Hailing from Gainesville, Florida, Marc is an avid sports fan (Go Gators!), gravitating towards college sports. A hands-on type that doesn’t mind getting a little dirty, he enjoys taking on house projects large and small when he’s not watching the Gators or Hokies.
